ARSIEM is looking for a Systems Administrator. This position will support one of our government clients in Ft. Meade, MD.
Responsibilities
- Actively manage enterprise computer systems and networks, analyzing technical issues, and developing and implementing corrective actions.
- Observe and interpret visual outputs indicating the operating status of systems and network components for designated computer network infrastructure.
- Translate user requests into technical diagnoses, then apply diagnoses to develop technical solutions to meet user needs.
- Develop strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture/technology with minimal impact.
- Evaluate new technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus 9 years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Degree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
- Relevant experience must be in computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance and/or systems engineering. Additionally, must have experience in network or system administration.
- Able to obtain an IAT-I certification, such as: A+CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP
- Strong Linux experience
- Experience in systems/network administration, application administration, and/or information technology support or management.
- Experience supporting hardware installation, such as servers and network infrastructure.
- Experience setting up storage such as network‐attached storage.
- Experience implementing security best practices to include PKI certificate generation, deployment, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Unix shell scripting languages like Bash, Bourne, or C
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience deploying and maintaining nginx
- Familiarity with Docker and RedHat Satellite
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT and Ansible as well as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience with SELinux and FIPS
$124,000 - $139,000 a year
The ARSIEM pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other laws.
