Glen-Gery, one of the nation’s leading brick manufacturers, is looking for a talented Maintenance Mechanic to join the 2nd Shift team at our plant location in Rocky Ridge, MD. This person will be responsible for installing, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment.


Position Summary


The ideal candidate will be adept at installing, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment. This is a hand’s on job, which includes mechanical, welding and fabrication skills, blueprint reading, basic carpentry and math skills.  An ideal candidate would also be able to troubleshoot, repair and perform maintenance on a wide variety of heavy industrial equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES



  • Must be able to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a wide variety of industrial equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Qualified candidates will have at least 2+ years of hands-on industrial experience

  • Fabrication Experience

  • Welding Experience

  • Mechanical skills
