Your Role: CNC Programmer/Operator
As a 5-axis CNC Programmer/Machinist, you will play a key role in our manufacturing process. You will be responsible for the machining or processing of metal parts by operating B-axis lathes with multiple spindles and 5-axis Mill-Turn centers to meet our production standards with precision, accuracy, and efficiency. Training for this position will take place at our Arlington facility (3106 Sprocket Drive), in the fall of 2024/winter 2025 this position will transfer to our Fort Worth facility located at 3600 McCart Ave., Fort Worth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and set up B-Axis lathes and/or 5-Axis CNC Mill-Turn machines to perform tasks such as turning, drilling, milling, and part complete operations.
- Optimize set-up times, and maximize machine utilization.
- Understand the specifications of the tasks by reading blueprints, and route instructions.
- Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.
- Determine the sequence of machine operations and select the proper cutting tools needed to machine workpieces into the desired shapes.
- Troubleshoot programs and make adjustments when needed.
- Set up CNC equipment to complete full cycles to produce a high and low volume of parts, improve productivity, maintain offsets, and inspect parts with a high degree of precision.
- Follow the in-process part inspection process and notify the Supervisor/Lead on the occurrence of non-conformance.
- Communicate with, managers, programmers, and quality personnel for assignments, and resolve quality issues.
- Work safely and wear all required PPE for the duration of the shift.
- Document all issues to ensure a smooth transition of information between departments.
- Check and perform preventive maintenance daily.
Your Schedule:

1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
What We are Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years of machining experience which includes performing programming and setup of 5 axis machines.
- Minimum of 2 years of programming experience, preferably Gibbs or Fusion 360.
- Knowledge of all required measuring equipment which includes calipers, gauges.
- Ability to document machining procedures.
- Knowledge of metals, part-holding fixtures, and lathe/mill tooling.
- Experience with DMG Mori Mill-Turn and/or Brother multi-axis machines a plus.
- Simple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in English.
- Physically able to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components.
- Work scheduled hours and comply with the company's timekeeping policy and all other company policies.
- Consistently stand and work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment for an entire shift.
- Strong knowledge of machining practices and materials is a must, as is general mechanical knowledge.
- Willingness to be trained with a desire to learn.
- Ability to work in a team setting, great work ethic, reliable, positive attitude
- Experience with Siemens and/or Brother controls
