GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The School of Science, Technology, and Health at Tiffin University is seeking applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position in Biochemistry. This renewable contract role, commencing on August 15th, 2025, offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator passionate about teaching and mentoring students across our diverse Science, Technology, and Health programs. Candidates with a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Biophysical Chemistry, or a related field are invited to apply.
The successful candidate will teach 12 credit hours per semester of Biology and Chemistry courses and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level, the ability to establish and maintain an undergraduate scholarly research agenda, and mentor student scholarly research. Evidence of effective teaching to diverse learners and experience in promoting and fostering a supportive learning environment using a variety of methodologies is a plus. The candidate will also contribute to curriculum design and evaluation, serve on department, division, and school committees to maintain and enhance the educational program, and participate in relevant professional development activities. Moreover, the faculty may be directed to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically delineated in this description. The School of Science, Technology, and Health offers Bachelor of Science degrees and is fully equipped with state-of-the-art instruments within our Center for Science and Technology.
