QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Knowledge of the principles, methods, strategies and techniques of wage and salary administration.
  3. Knowledge of state and federal law and regulations related to compensation and compliance.
  4. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel functions to develop formulae for spreadsheets and perform data analysis.
  5. Analytical skills to interpret and communicate data.
  6. Leadership and team management skills, including strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Strong time management skills with ability to plan and set priorities.
  8. Experience in leading a work group preferred.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Annual Contract: 250 days

 

SALARY:

(BA 6) $88,173

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2024-2025

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Review and approve salary calculations for paraprofessional and hourly employees.
  2. Oversee the data management team for processing new hires/changes, and stipends.
  3. Review and approve personnel action forms generated by the data management team.
  4. Work with Payroll Department for needed corrections.
  5. Investigate and respond to salary review requests from district employees.
  6. Oversee participation in salary surveys and monitor salary survey data to ensure district compensation objectives are achieved.
  7. Assist with management of the development and implementation/administration of the district’s compensation programs.
  8. Oversee the annual pay increase process and monitor adjustments (personnel budgeting process).
  9. Develop techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting data.
  10. Develop and maintain library of comparative employees for determining job-like experience to determine salary placement.
  11. Complete and/or oversee cost analysis for department initiatives.
  12. Oversee special projects to address department or district needs.
  13. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
  14. Practice regular and reliable attendance.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  

Tools/Equipment Used:  Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals. 

Posture:  Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. 

Motion:  Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching.  Lifting:  Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds). 

Environment:  May work prolonged or irregular hours; occasional travel. 

Mental demands:  Work with frequent interruptions maintain emotional control under stress.
