Associate QC Scientist - Chemistry

Hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (Mon-Fri)

Job Summary:

Performs the following types of duties: Responsible for testing of raw materials, finished products, and work in progress samples for microbiological contaminants;   Will also work with probiotic and spore testing to ensure products meet specifications as listed; Will work with Environmental Testing and Allergen programs to ensure compliance; Prioritizes assignments to ensure release of raw materials and finished products within required timelines; Complies with cGLPs and GMPs; And other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required

Knowledge: microbiology, math, chemistry, and testing of natural products and ingredients. GMP and GLP requirements, environmental testing and allergen testing.  

Skill: Capable of using laboratory equipment and documentation systems.

Ability: Write reports, communicate results, work as a team member and have a good sense of timeliness.

Experience/Education

BS in a scientific area, preferably microbiology/biology. Lab experience is a plus
