Position Overview:
We’re hiring for a Bookkeeper I to work onsite in Florence, CO. In this position you’ll become part of great team providing accounting and bookkeeping services to our customers.
A Second-61 Bookkeeper is responsible for providing critical services for our customers ensuring accuracy and completeness of company financial records. The successful team member will perform various bookkeeping functions and manage processes to ensure customer success. This is a mid-level position for someone that wants to continue to build their career in accounting and bookkeeping. Come join our team!
Key Responsibilities:

Recording financial transactions: Second-61 bookkeeper will be responsible for recording all financial transactions within company's accounting system, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.

Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable: Second-61 Bookkeeper will manage accounts payable by ensuring that bills are paid on time and that vendors are reimbursed. They must also manage accounts receivable by sending out invoices, following up on late payments, and recording payments received.

Reconciling bank statements: Second-61 Bookkeeper is responsible for reconciling bank statements to ensure that the company's records match those of the bank.

Creating financial reports: Second-61 Bookkeepers will generate financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets, on a regular basis to help the company's management team make informed financial decisions.

Maintaining financial records: Second-61 Bookkeepers will maintain accurate financial records, including receipts, invoices, and other financial documents.

Assisting with budgeting: Second-61 Bookkeepers will assist with the preparation and management of a company's budget by providing financial data and insights.

Communicating with stakeholders: Second-61 Bookkeepers will need to communicate with various stakeholders, including vendors, customers, and other departments within the company, to resolve financial issues and provide information as needed.

Mentoring and Training: Second-61 Bookkeepers will work with junior team members in training and mentoring to ensure their successful performance and growth in the accounting department.

- Experience performing bookkeeping for complex businesses through financial statement preparation and review.
- Familiarity and comfort working with accounting software and MS Office applications.

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- It is beneficial if a candidate has an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, but this is not required.
- It is beneficial if a candidate is a Certified Bookkeeper (CP) from the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB) or equivalent, but this is not required.
