We are looking to add a Manufacturing Business Analyst to our team. If you enjoy working in a startup environment and are passionate about developing leading-edge manufacturing processes for high-reliability, high-volume satellites, we would like to hear from you.

In this position, you will be responsible for the processes to drive NPI, manufacturing and supply chain of Cesium’s diverse array of electronic assemblies for satellites and other aerospace platforms.  

Your work will have a direct impact on the success of the company.  You will work closely with the engineering team, program management, and the supply chain to industrialize processes for space products for a growing market that combines the rigor of space with the scale of commercial electronics.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serve as the primary process improvement resource across assigned transformation workstreams.
    • Conduct stakeholder interviews and independent research to fully understand current process and identify gaps to fill.
    • Conduct analyses (SQL queries, other methods) that identify issues and opportunities impacting our customers, including actionable recommendations Integrate with all levels of the business to understand current workflows and identify systematic gaps that quantifiably change outcomes.

    • Create process documentation and process maps.
    • Identify process breakdowns and offer improvement suggestions to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Train internal users, external technical teams, and leaders on dashboard, API, and tool usage; assist in troubleshooting.
    • Ensure redesigned processes are seamless experience for all stakeholders by minimizing inefficiencies.
    • Leverage technology to further improve processes where appropriate, including incorporating automation.
    • Improve data capture for future Account Management use cases, identifying front-end requirements and collaborating with software development teams on table structure.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 8 years of applicable experience.
    • Experience with change management EIA-649, nonconformance documentation, root cause analysis, corrective action systems, and acceptance criteria.
    • Experience with cost analysis, managing suppliers, and configuration management.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

    • Experience in aerospace or other high-reliability industries.
    • Proficiency with PLM and ERP software.
    • Proficiency in AS9100/ISO9001 quality management system requirements.
    • Proficiency in lean manufacturing methodologies.
    • Experience successfully tackling multiple high-priority tasks.
    • Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills in a matrixed environment with cross-functional teams.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and consultative skills, and facilitation skills.
    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
    • Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy.
    • Knowledge of business structure.
    • Stakeholder analysis.
