Raleigh Woodworks is currently seeking skilled and experienced Custom Cabinet and Door Builders to join our esteemed team. As a reputable provider of custom cabinetry & carpentry, we specialize in crafting exceptional custom shelving units, cabinets, interior doors, furniture, and various carpentry projects. Position: Cabinet Shop - Junior Carpenter
Location: Smithfield NC

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, assemble, and finish custom shelving units, cabinets, interior doors, furniture, and other carpentry projects according to design specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans to ensure accurate measurements, cuts, and joinery techniques.
  • Utilize a variety of woodworking tools and machinery with precision and expertise.
  • Select appropriate materials, including solid wood, veneers, laminates, and hardware, to achieve the desired aesthetic and functional outcomes.
  • Apply various finishing techniques, such as staining, painting, varnishing, or lacquering, to achieve a high-quality and durable finish.
  • Collaborate with designers, architects, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication process to maintain excellent standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in custom cabinet and/or door building.
  • Proficiency in fabricating, assembling, and finishing custom shelving units, cabinets, interior doors, furniture, and other carpentry projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery methods, and precision measuring tools.
  • Strong understanding of various wood species, laminates, veneers, and hardware used in custom cabinetry and furniture construction.
  • Skilled in operating a wide range of woodworking tools and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and superior finishing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
