Job Description

Experience Level CMM Programmer role requires an understanding of manufacturing processes. Candidates should have experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards along with exposure to engineering drawings. Cyient programs are directly affiliated with Pratt & Whitney sites located in East Hartford & Middletown, CT, and North Berwick, Maine.

Programmer responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Experience with CMM programming is a plus.
  • Under minimal supervision, create, develop, and modify CMM (coordinate measuring machine) programs as required.
  • Support Customer and Team Lead to facilitate Gage R&R activity, measurement correlations, and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) investigations related to CMM equipment.
  • Practical knowledge on how to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Ability to work with a team and independently as needed.

Experience/Qualifications

  • 3 -5yrs Experience with any of the CMM software packages: Calypso, PC DMIS
  • Familiarity with gage calibration, in-process inspection(s), visual and dimensional inspection(s).
  • Understanding of measuring and inspection techniques.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of CAD systems is a plus.
  • Must be comfortable working in a shop environment.
  • Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • U.S. Citizen., Security verification is mandatory requirement for employment at Cyient.

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Appropriate course work / education / training in the manufacturing and quality field.
