Job Description

We are looking for a rail or road engineering designer to join our transportation group. You will assist engineers on projects for our clients such as CN, CP, Rio Tinto, Transport Canada and EXO.

We offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to work from home and in one of our offices in the metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare digital terrain models
  • Design track geometries in plan and profile
  • Calculate quantities of materials required for the project
  • Provide technical support and monitoring for project managers
  • Design earthworks and drainage for railway infrastructure

Qualifications

  • Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in civil engineering or equivalent training
  • Minimum three years’ experience in rail or road projects
  • Proficiency in the French language
  • Knowledge of basic geometric design criteria
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D, OpenRoad, OpenRail software
