GENERAL DESCRIPTION




PLEXSYS Interface Products is seeking a Database Administrator to work on a team executing integration efforts on the Modeling, Simulation, and Training environment at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC-N) to support the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center, Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) team, at Nellis, NV. Part of a team that provides on-site M&S support for the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center (USAFWC) and Air Combatant Command (ACC); Establish and deliver high-end Advanced Tactics, Training, and Test capability for Government personnel operating under USAFWC/ACC; Provide mission execution and support to broad range of  simulator activities including training combat/tactical warfighters, C4ISR/remote sensing capabilities integration and training, and battle-space awareness; Assist Government in expansion of centrally managed capabilities beyond Nellis AFB, providing distributed JITTC-N training support to other Service/Joint partner facilities, including the Distributed Training Center (DTC), and the Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC). The individual’s primary responsibility is enhancing existing data storage capacity, writing new support programs/scripts/queries, and troubleshooting databases to ensure optimal performance.




Essential Job Responsibilities


Maintain continuous operation of multi data storages to ensure the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) is operating at optimal performance level. The data storages include SQL databases, various terrain databases, etc.  The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



  • Monitoring databases and related systems to ensure optimized performance.

  • Assisting development teams in designing new database programs that meet the organization's data storage needs.

  • Writing new support programs, scripts, queries to increase data storage capacity.

  • Generating/reviewing database and user reports, as well as system information.

  • Performing debugging procedures on database scripts and programs, as well as resolving conflicts.

  • Adhering to best practices in securely storing, backing up, and archiving data.

  • Documenting processes related to database design, configuration, and performance.

  • Keeping abreast of developments and best practices in database engineering.




Minimum Qualifications



  • Must hold an active or current DoD TS/SCI Clearance.

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

  • Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Must have ability to work flexible schedule to support customer requirements.

  • Must be onsite at job site. Non-remote.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
