Position Overview

Vessel Technologies is seeking an experienced Director of Construction to lead and manage construction activities across multiple sites in the Northeast region. With over 10 projects scheduled for construction in Connecticut in 2025, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to a transformative approach to housing. The role involves coordinating multiple construction managers, establishing budgets, and maintaining project schedules to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Team Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the activities of multiple construction managers across various sites to ensure seamless project execution.
Budget Management: Establish and oversee project budgets, ensuring financial efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality.
Scheduling: Develop, enforce, and monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion of construction activities.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects meet Vessel Technologies’ standards for design, safety, and environmental impact.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular progress updates to senior management and key stakeholders, highlighting achievements and addressing challenges.
Compliance: Ensure that all construction activities adhere to local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Risk Mitigation: Anticipate potential risks and implement proactive measures to address them effectively.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple projects.
Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools.

Location
This position is based in the Northeast region and requires regular travel to various project sites in Connecticut.
