Essential Functions:


  • Oversees the Human Resources Department and ensure compliance, organizational and recruiting needs are met

  • Operates as a strategic, HR business advisor with solid business acumen, analytical skills, and sound judgement to provide pragmatic advice and critical thinking

  • Constructively challenges points-of-view when necessary, offering alternative, constructive suggestions to build talent capabilities and innovative solutions to support growth.

  • Mentors HR staff to guide operations on day-to-day people management, including compensation, performance management and coaching

  • Guides and advises leaders on matters relating to talent management including coaching, corrective action, Performance Improvement Plans, terminations, and associated risks.

  • Leads and collaborates internal investigations, including relevant Compliance, and Legal and leadership resources referencing policy, past practice, federal and state regulations and standard operating procedures of the organization as guidelines.

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to HR, providing oversight to mitigate legal risk and promote compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.

  • Leads organizational recruitment, planning, engagement action planning, and other talent-related programs and processes.

  • Ensures operational excellence by measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of HR team and HR related metrics

  • Participates in periodic business strategic planning and review cycles. Adjusts strategies prioritizing HR activities, while maintaining momentum for Vitra’s wide initiatives

  • Engage executives on key leadership development needs to deploy appropriate development programs, coaching/mentoring

  • Lead implementation of performance evaluation process

  • Advocate for a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture

  • Collaborates with executive leadership to support the vision, mission, and goals of the organization

  • Identifies key performance indicators for the organization’s human resource and talent management functions

  • Assesses the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics

  • In collaboration with recruitment, researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisals, and employee incentive programs

  • Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource team; assists with resolution of human resources, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues

  • Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other local, state and federal laws, regulations, and requirements

  • Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management

  • Oversees employment agreements, contact renewals, and employment contract management

  • Responsible for managing and maintaining department’s budget

  • Perform other duties as assigned   


Education, Experience and Licensure Requirements 


  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • 6-8 years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred

  • 5 years of leading and managing teams required

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred

  • High-energy, passionate team player who enjoys a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

  • Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
