Financial Analyst

Kada Recruiting is partnering with a cause-based marketing agency in Austin, Texas, recruiting for a Financial Analyst to join their growing organization.
All of their work promotes public health, traffic safety, environmental health, and social justice for government and nonprofit clients.
We are seeking a Financial Analyst with strong accounting expertise to provide crucial financial support to their client service and finance teams. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and a keen eye for detail, thriving in a dynamic work environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review advertising invoices, estimates, and purchase orders to accurately record expenses for billing purposes.
- Prepare necessary documentation according to specific billing requirements.
- Process monthly media invoices, collaborating closely with the media and billing teams to meet deadlines.
- Identify, escalate, and follow up on discrepancies and missing vendor invoices.
- Ensure compliance with agency procedures to uphold client requirements.
- Execute media vendor payments on a weekly, monthly, or as-needed basis.
- Reconcile vendor statements and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain organized records of pertinent vendor invoices and files.
- Provide support across various accounting functions.
- Offer financial guidance to client service teams and oversee client budget monitoring.
- Proactively document and assist with budget reconciliations and timely job closures.
- Contribute to the creation and preparation of weekly and quarterly financial reports, including flash reports, productivity analyses, and month-end summaries.
- Monitor accuracy of job details, estimates, and rate cards.
- Ensure timely opening, maintenance, and closure of job codes in alignment with client agreements, working closely with client service teams and Business Managers.
- Collaborate with Business Managers and Client Service teams to optimize billing efficiency and accuracy.
- Act as a dependable business analytics resource for assigned accounts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting with 2-4+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly strong Excel skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with both finance and non-financial personnel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and streamline tasks for accuracy.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
- Proven problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to finding solutions.
