Golf Course Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of this position is day-to-day operations to maintain golf courses.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Display friendliness and helpfulness at all times, to Members, Guests, Visitors, Business Partners, and fellow Associates.
- Adhere to all Property and Department policies and procedures.
- Observe all safety and security procedures. Use equipment and material properly. Report potentially unsafe conditions.
- Course set up duties to present proper tee marker positions and hole locations. Set up duties also involve litter and waste removal, ball washer maintenance, and general care and upkeep of course amenities.
- Mowing and grooming; keep up playability and high-quality appearance — walking and riding equipment.
- Hand water turf; requires moving hoses manually and recognizing wilt conditions. This task is essential to keeping healthy turf.
- Hand labor; including raking, shoveling, pushing, and divot repair to groom the course.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

The associate frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The associate is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The associate is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high or precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Must be aware of their surroundings with an understanding of a golf environment. Must have the ability to see and react to the surroundings, including errant golf balls and must understand and follow proper golf etiquette while completing tasks.
