Position Summary

The individual in this position prepares primarily individual and fiduciary income tax returns with some exposure to partnership and corporate income tax returns. Additionally, a successful candidate should be interested in developing into a multi-disciplinary professional who is passionate about learning all aspects of wealth management. This individual will join a dynamic team that thrives to provide the highest quality of holistic wealth services to our clients. The Staff Tax Accountant is familiar with tax standard concepts, practices, and procedures. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. This individual will work on the High Net Worth focus area team.

Requirements

Required Experience and Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field with 0-3 years in relevant position or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares tax returns (individual, fiduciary, partnership and corporate) and conducts any necessary tax research
  • Assists High New Worth team with providing holistic tax and wealth management counsel to our clients
  • Prepares tax planning and consulting workpapers
  • Prepares work papers that are organized, neat, cross-referenced and supported by conclusions
  • Uses reference materials in researching tax and accounting issues
  • Maintains accurate time and expense records to ensure proper billing of clients
  • Complies with relevant continuing professional education requirements
  • Enhances the firm image by demonstrating “executive presence”. This means instilling confidence in those you meet by manner, spoken and written word and professional appearance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Working Conditions
