We are looking for a committed, “RIIdiculously Awesome”  Human Resources Business Partner to join our Human Resources team. We care about RII and our People, so we put our best practices forward for our People Organization and those we interact with (employees, customers, and partners) and that’s why and how we Stay Human and get S#it done.  The Human Resources Business Partner provides professional support in a variety of areas including but not limited to HR Operations, employee engagement, employee relations, onboarding, performance management and talent management. As a member of the HR organization, you will be integral in championing RII’s Core Values in your own unique and passionate way.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    • Work with the Director of Human Resources and the RII HR Team to ensure HR Operations Administration and Special Projects (i.e., Employee Relations, HR Tools, Training, Benefits, Wellness Programs, Salary Administration and DEI&B) are effective and efficiently delivering excellent customer services.
    • Partner with Talent Acquisition, HRGs, RII Management and Senior Leadership to provide excellence in HR Service Delivery and ensure RII is able to attract and retain the best talent while also being compliant with all Federal and state laws.
    • Be a main point of contact for all HR related questions and concerns; monitor and promptly respond to HR email and phone inquiries.
    • Assist and support RII Performance Management, Talent Management and Succession Planning tools, generate reports, improve processes, and educate employees on program communications. 
    • Ability to work independently on Salary Planning and Performance Calibrations.
    • Support Employee Relations activities at all levels in coaching (inclusive of investigations).
    • Enable HR reporting and analytics trends to help with workforce planning (ie., retention, attrition, talent).
    • Support HR projects and assisting with RII staff on Essential Trainings.
    • Stay abreast of HR trends, best practices, legal updates and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations (i.e., ACA, ADA, EEO, ERISA, FLSA, HIPAA, FMLA, OSHA, Title VII, etc.) and RII policies and procedures (i.e., posters, audit support).
    • Support the new hire employee on-boarding process to include: conducting orientations, communications, benefits enrollment, updating records (i.e., I-9 e-Verify processing, training, and documentation) in our HR tools.  
    • Process employment verifications and security investigations or questionnaires for current and former staff. Coordinate and assist with off-boarding transitions to include coordination with other departments, vendors, exit interviews and updates to the HR employee files.
    • Ensure HR records are maintained and all employee data is secure, accurate and current.  Help evaluate, analyze, audit and maintain job-related data and documents.
    • Coordinate and support the enhancement of HR programs and continuous process improvements and maintaining HR systems.
    • Assist in administering benefits, benefits enrollment, questions and concerns (i.e., life events, 401k enrollments) compliance audits, maintenance of benefits records, invoices, and general communications with employees and vendors.
    • Provide assistance with updating, maintaining and enhancing compliance policies and procedures and training.
    • Participate in RII Employee Handbook review assisting in the development, updating, and implementation of various HR policies and procedures applicable to all employees.
    • Help keep HR focused on being technology driven with simplification efforts to ensure ease of use within HR and for our customers (i.e., RII Intranet, HR Small Improvements, Unanet).
    • Participate in other special projects and other duties as assigned.
    • Taking  personal initiative as well as collaborating with team members is a must.

WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
    • PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
    • 5 years HR Generalist/HR Business Partner experience across a variety of HR functions (i.e., employee engagement, DEI&B, performance management, talent management, researching and supporting HR projects, policy, and HR program administration).
    • Demonstrates the ability to work with sensitive matters, act with discretion and respect.
    • Proven proficiency in computer skills - HR tools, Google Suites and Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Calendar).
    • Solid ethics and integrity with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive employee and RII information.
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask, prioritize, organize and work in a fast paced environment.
    • Strong time management and the ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
    • Strong interpersonal and customer facing skills at all levels of an organization.
    • Proven problem solving skills.
    • Strong sense of urgency with an ability to execute efficiently, accurately and effectively.
    • Adaptable, team-oriented and collaborative while demonstrating the ability to take initiative, think creatively, and take actions that get results aligned with HR objectives.
    • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures and compliance.
    • Experience working with a variety of levels of employees in HR customer service.
    • Experience in handling onboarding and offboarding processes.
    • Experience in ensuring HR data is accurate and kept up to date.
    • Knowledge of performance management.
