JOB STATUS: Full-Time (40 hours/week), 12 Months Per Year, Non-Union
LOCATION: Marshall, MN or Willmar, MN
RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Senior Human Resources Generalist and in collaboration with the HR Department, the HR Coordinator is responsible for completing various human resources functions, which includes administrative functions, recruiting, scheduling interviews and onboarding, employee record keeping, processing performance evaluations, safety team planning and assisting with additional HR operations.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
• Review and create vacancy notices, open and close positions on internal and external
websites.
• Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications and eligibility of applicants.
• Respond to applicant inquiries in-person, over the phone and via email.
• Schedule interviews with applicants and hiring managers.
• Responsible for onboarding newly hired employees to include new employee orientation, employee
handbook overview, company policies and procedures and employment documents.
• Create and maintain complete and confidential files on each employee.
• Process, verify and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing,
recruitment, training, performance evaluations and classifications.
• Assist Benefits Specialist with company benefit administration to include enrollment, plan
questions, claims resolution, and open enrollment.
• Respond to various information requests from governmental agencies, such as affirmative action
and unemployment, in a timely manner.
• Record and maintain data for each employee, including such information as addresses, weekly
earnings, absences, supervisory reports on performance, change of statuses, and dates of and
reasons for terminations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or GED, plus one - three year’s human resources experience
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
• Ability to work independently with little supervision required.
• Ability to remain calm while working under pressure in a busy environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information.
• Thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/state laws.
• Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in HRIS software systems & Microsoft applications is essential.
• Exhibit extraordinary discretion, confidentiality, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our
team.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a satisfactory background check.
• Reliable, regular attendance
