Are you looking to make a significant impact in an evolving company? We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Human Resources to lead our HR function and support business growth.

Position Overview

The Director of Human Resources will oversee all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, and organizational development. This role will lead strategic HR planning, drive employee engagement, and ensure alignment between HR initiatives and business objectives. The position will be based in Schaumburg, IL, supporting a workforce of 115+ employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead HR initiatives, including recruitment, performance management, organizational design, and employee relations.
  • Align HR strategies with business objectives, supporting leadership in workforce planning and talent development.
  • Guide managers in building strong teams, managing change, and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Develop and oversee recruitment strategies, leveraging various talent acquisition networks.
  • Lead organizational design, transformation, and change management initiatives.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, as well as employee engagement programs.
  • Conduct compensation benchmarking and provide data-driven insights to leadership.
  • Manage total rewards programs, including health benefits, incentive programs, and recognition initiatives.
  • Oversee performance management systems to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and implement employee training programs tailored to departmental needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of HR experience, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of talent management, compensation, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and employment laws.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to drive process improvements and align HR initiatives with business goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS systems, and other standard HR applications.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or machine tool industry is a plus.
