Position Overview
Cromwell Architects Engineers is seeking a Human Resource Director with 15-20 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field, for our Little Rock location. An ideal candidate will have 5+ years of leadership experience as well as experience in the AE industry.

What to Expect
The Human Resource Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.
Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
- Responsible for developing administration policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
- Responsible for annual affirmative action program, annual EEO-1/VET-100, and other records and reports to conform to EEO/OFCCP regulations.
- Reviews and make recommendations to the Board of Directors in the development and implementation of personnel policies, procedures, and practices to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Manages annual review of insurance policies, cafeteria plans, and other benefits.
- Responsible for new employee orientations to ensure employees understand the benefits and other various company policies.
- Responsible for recruitment efforts with managers by coordinating advertising and interviewing potential employees.
- Responsible for coaching employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
- Provides advice and counsel on personnel issues.
- Responds to employees’ relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and EEOC/AAP complaints.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- At least 15 years of human resource management experience
- At least 5 years of leadership experience
- Familiarity with ERISA, FMLA, FLSA, OFFCP, and related state and federal regulations
- Experience in the AE industry highly preferred
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred
