Maintenance Technician - 2nd shift
Pay: $28-$32
The QP Maintenance Tech is responsible for but not limited to the following areas of working on and maintaining horizontal form fill and seal equipment, shrink wrap tunnels, forklift minor repairs, stretch wrapper, print registered bundle wrappers and heavy electrical work in the warehouse along with building maintenance. He/she must have great communication skills through phone, email and personal contact.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties
· Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, sweepers, etc.)
· Document records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
· Select repair parts and update parts records.
· Repair mechanical damage and replace defective parts, which may include welding, brazing, and soldering. Repairs are made to mechanical handling equipment, racking, floors, plumbing, piping, and other warehouse structural components.
· Maintenance and repair of batteries and chargers.
· Applies mechanical skills and knowledge to troubleshooting and repair of electrical, plumbing, pipe fitting, fabrication, building construction, and other warehouse maintenance/repair situations.
· Reads and interprets schematics, drawings, and other diagnostic aids in the scope of troubleshooting, repair, and fabrication work.
· Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
· Familiar with mechanical hand tools, and with measuring (tape measures, micrometers, drill gauges, etc.)
· Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
· Comply with OSHA Safety and Health regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area

Educational Background:
· Minimum of a High School Diploma, 5 years equivalent experience.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
· Basic computer skills including use of Microsoft Office.
· Experience with C.M.M.S. software (Preventive Maintenance/Work Order distribution systems).
· Understanding encoders and equipment timing.
· Knowledge of Servo drives and motors.
· Variable Frequency drive operation and configuration.
· Basic knowledge of logic software.
· Strong knowledge of how components interact with PLC’s (photo eyes, proximity sensors, etc.).
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
· Some college is desirable
· Fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal, is considered an asset
