Job Skills / Requirements


At Park DuValle Community Health Center, the IT Support Specialist is responsible for Supporting our EMR (Electronic Medical Record) software, setting up software and user rights, maintaining ticketing system, and resolving IT Support Issues as assigned. 

Primary Position Responsibilities:

  • Installing new software and hardware components
  • Regularly Maintaining our Ticketing System to ensure all tickets are worked and accounted for
  • Respond to Troubleshooting tickets as assigned
  • Athena Superuser, assisting in needs of all Athena users
  • Assist with Software updates and patches
  • Resolving all issues staff have with their IT systems and software
  • Educating coworkers about network security and best practices for computer usage
  • Supporting the day-to-day operation of our computer network
  • Act as vendor liaison between PDCHC and vendors
  • Continuous training to remain up to date on system and software technologies
  • Support Athena software as well as any other operation Applications
  • Maintaining Office 365
  • All other duties assigned
Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 15 or more pounds
 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Professional IT Certifications (preferred)
Required Experience/Skills:

  • Associates degree in computer science or related field
  • Experience supporting PC hardware and software
  • Experience in Network Support
  • Working knowledge of Windows and office 365
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exhibits excellent customer service to assess needs and provide information and assistance
  • Identifies problems; determines accuracy and uses sound judgement to generate and evaluate alternatives and to make recommendations
  • Good communication ability, both written and verbal
  • Personable, professional demeanor




Education Requirements (Any)



Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.





Certification Requirements (Any)



Bachelor's Degree

IT Support: 2 years (Preferred)

A valid IT Specialist certification (Preferred)
