General Purpose:

The Junior Financial Analyst is an amazing opportunity to work with a fast-paced, energetic analytics team.  This role is perfect for the analyst who excels in critical thinking, collaboration, and teamwork.  The position supports the Firm and the Analytics team with data maintenance, financial analysis, ad hoc report requests, and special projects. 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepares monthly, periodic and ad hoc financial, productivity, and profitability reports with analysis and commentary.
  • Analyzes and understands business requirements and creates firm, practice group, office, and strategic reports to support business needs.
  • Handles requests for client billing history, inventory balances, timekeeper statistics, and client matter statistics.
  • Performs various special analysis projects impacting all aspects of the Firm’s business, both internal and client related.
  • Performs data entry, data integrity, and report accuracy checks as requested.
  • Assists the FP&A Project Manager in preparing and managing compensation memos and special compensation agreements for firm timekeepers.
  • Assists in the management of firm programs including, but not limited to, Partner Sabbaticals, Business Generations, and departing attorney transition reports.  This will involve coordinating and communicating effectively with business stakeholders and attorneys.
  • Collaborates with Financial Services teams and leverages technology to streamline and improve financial processes and workflows.
  • Supports experienced analysts and management in completing analytical and reporting tasks as requested.

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial systems, business intelligence tools, and metrics as relates to legal industry.
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in financial analysis.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills with attention to details focused on speed, accuracy, and thoughtful analysis.
  • Motivated self-starter who can work independently and can contribute as a team player.
  • Superior communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Law firm experience preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Aderant Expert and Iridium BI a plus.

Holland & Hart offers of employment take into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees.  Colorado Salary Range - $59,000 to $91,700 per year.  A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
