Interior Designer/Stager Job Description

Design Assessment and Project Management
Planning
In consultation with the Client or Agent,
complete a needs analysis providing the agreed-upon Return on Investment (ROI)
improvements, budget, timelines, measurements, and furnishings.
Assess the property, take photos of all
rooms including items that need to stay or go, and develop the project plan for
the required home improvements and staging items.
Advise the Client regarding interior
design details including paint colour, furnishings, lighting as well as
confirming items that should be removed or included.
Job Duties:
· Walk through the subject property and
determine the actions required to maximize the appeal to a prospective Buyer,
including the required capital projects, furniture, and furnishings. Communicate to listing agent for review
before sending to Client.
· Communicate the shared vision with the
Client and Agent and receive all the agreed-upon approvals of the staging
proposal to ensure that there is a commitment regarding what needs to be
completed, acquired, or removed including budget and time frames.
· Actively monitor the staging process with
the Client/Agent and Trades (contractors, landscaping, florals etc.) ensuring
that the staging plan is occurring to project and budget agreements.
· Act as the Lead on staging day including
meeting movers to ensure the moving out of furniture and the unloading of
furniture and accessories to highlight the property occurs within the
agreed-upon criteria.
· Proactively communicate to the Agent if
there are concerns regarding the successful completion of the staging plan or
budget.
· Complete the destaging of the property in
a timely manner.
· Sourcing and buying staging inventory
· Oversee/maintaining inventory / quality
of inventory throughout the year.
