The candidate will be a critical member of the Worldwide Retail Growth and Development (WWRGD) team and will support a portfolio of leased or owned retail, industrial, and office locations within North America. Through the implementation of industry best practices, the candidate will be responsible for the administration of real estate leases, subleases, and owned property. The candidate will support current policies, procedures, and controls pertaining to the payment of rent, percentage rent, common area maintenance, property taxes, insurance premiums and other property related expenses. The candidate will ensure that all lease and property documents are accurately abstracted and uploaded into a lease database. The candidate will review common area maintenance reconciliations to ensure compliance with lease obligations and make payment adjustments accordingly, if necessary. The candidate will combine real estate industry experience and excellent problem-solving skills to interact with diverse stakeholder groups, both internal and external.

Limited travel required to one of our offices up to twice annually for company events and department all-hands meetings.

Bachelor's degree preferred in business, management, real estate, or related field.
5 years of corporate or commercial asset management experience with a retailer, landlord, or commercial real estate company.
Ability to interpret lease language and familiarity with retail, industrial and office leases.
Experience with lease abstracting and account reconciliations.
Experience utilizing commercial real estate lease software such as Tango.
Experience with the payment of monthly, quarterly or annual amounts due to landlords in accordance with lease obligations.
Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel.


5 years of lease administration experience with a retailer, landlord, or commercial real estate company.
Broad experience with interpretation of retail, industrial and office leases.
Experience with abstracting leases into lease database software.
Ability to analyze and prepare account reconciliations in Excel.
Experience with running reports, calculations and entering payments of percent rent in accordance with lease obligations.
Familiarity with subtenants, including management of all lease dates, invoicing of rent, taxes, and operating costs.
Background with collections proceedings from subtenants as required.
Ability to run reports to monitor pending dates, expirations, and renewals within Tango.
Experience working with legal team to coordinate the issuance of estoppels, certification documents, and non-disturbance agreements.
A demonstrated ability to work in a high stress, fast-paced environment that includes management of high-volume electronic communication and email.
Work independently while maintaining all deadlines and critical date obligations.
Proven track record to analyze and interpret complex leases and educate stakeholders of lease compliance responsibilities.
Identify new or improve existing business processes.
Experience with building trust and professional relationships with our landlord partners.
Track record of developing strong relationships with internal partners such as operations, accounting and legal teams.
Effective and clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interface with individuals at all levels of an organization.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $120,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
