Job Summary


Massanutten Resort is seeking a full-time marketing specialist. This position focuses primarily on content creation/writing, PR administration and scheduling, project management and special events/projects. Our specialist will assist the Resort Marketing in content creation (email, A/B testing, social ads and posts, newsletters, website/SEO, scripts, etc) incorporating MarTech and the use of generative AI. Strong writing (creative, descriptive, and expository) and editing skills are a must. The right candidate will also be well versed in specialized marketing concepts, principles, tactics, and data analytics. PR activities will be putting together dynamic itineraries for VIPs, media, and influencers working with Resort Ops Departments to showcase the best of the best at Massanutten. This person will also assist with coordinating these
activities, setting up for media events and visits, and hosting. We are also looking for the right person to assist us with project management, meeting timelines, workflows, and efficiencies through the use of their own organization skills and implementing the right tech tools. Required



  •  BA or BS in marketing or a related field

  •  Skilled writer for a variety of outlets and goals

  •  Marketing content generation and social media marketing

  •  Excellent ability to organize complex schedules and itineraries; people and events

  •  Superior communication skills; ability to pitch ideas, get large groups on the same page, and aligned

  •  Creative thinker

  •  Data mining, interpretation, and reporting

  •  Public relations and events


Preferred



  •  Website CMS experience and Google Analytics

  •  Graphic Design (Adobe Creative Suite)

  •  Videography and photography

  •  E-commerce and POS systems

  •  Niche marketing; ski, outdoors, waterpark, etc

  •  Market research

  •  Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

  •  Influencer and Event Marketing


Typical Schedule


Days:


Five days a week including Saturdays (Tuesday-Saturday or Monday-Thursday & Saturday)
Weekends and holidays as needed


Hours:


8 am – 4:30 pm, 8:30 am – 5 pm or 9 am – 5:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch break


Core Responsibilities



  •  Create and coordinate effective marketing content and develop marketing processes with both research and strategies from analyzing data metrics of key   performance indicators

  •  Photo/Video assistance- production organization, coordination, scheduling, milestones/timelines, goals

  •  Events and promotions- booth displays, set-up/tear down, spokesperson at the event for the Resort or specified departments

  •  Travel, media, and VIP stay coordination, itinerary development, and hosting

  •  Assist on all social platforms- guest service, content creation, ad management

  •  Assist director with special projects, work closely with marketing manager, and general office and admin work

  • Assist with departmental needs throughout week and on Saturdays/Sundays (as needed)

  • Assistance with trademark and copyright activities; team and resort marketing usage, archiving, etc

  • Other duties as assigned by management
