Operator - Water/Wastewater Treatment Facility

This is a temporary position that could become a full time benefited position.

Background check, drug screen and drivers report required.

Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Responsibilities:

• Operates, performs minor repairs, and maintains the water treatment plant facility, and diagnoses operating problems and performs necessary corrective action .

• Operates pumps, engines, and generators to control and adjust flow and processing of water, sludge, and effluent

• Monitors gauges, meters, and control panels

• Operates valves and gates either manually or by remote control

• Performs routine maintenance functions and custodial duties

• Makes operating decisions in the absence of supervisory personnel

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid driver’s license

• Level II certification in Water

• A minimum two year of experience in operating water treatment plants
