Paralegal

Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to join our Pensacola office.  This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability stay calm under pressure of multiple deadlines.  

Qualifications:

• MUST be a Florida Registered Paralegal, Certified Paralegal or graduate of an accredited paralegal program.


• Minimum three (3) years of recent experience working for an insurance defense firm, including familiarity with billing codes and ability to capture time and bill according to guidelines.


• Working knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing medical chronologies/records summaries.


• Analyzing medical bills.


• Drafting pleadings, discovery responses, expert disclosures and witness & exhibit lists.


• Preparing trial exhibits.


• Deposition, mediation and trial preparation.
