Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Bonaventure Senior Living has an opening at its Home Office for a Paralegal/Legal Assistant. In this role, you will provide administrative and clerical support to Bonaventure’s General Counsel in carrying out all legal duties relating to business transactions, real property transactions, drafting and editing contracts, and additional duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting routine legal documents and correspondence


• Scheduling meetings, interviews, mediations, and case evaluations


• Organizing and maintaining legal records


• Assisting General Counsel and contracted attorneys in discovery requests and other document requests, including subpoenas. 


• Providing general administrative support to the company’s General Counsel


• Word processing, formatting, proofreading and editing 


• Analyzing files and records and identifying key documents for attorney review


• Creating and updating checklists as necessary to track the completion of complex projects and transactions 

Qualifications:

• Highly organized and detail oriented


• Expertise in Microsoft Office is essential


• Solid proofreading and editing skills


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Basic understanding of legal principles and proceedings


• Three (3) years experience as a legal assistant in any setting is preferred


• Experience in supporting complex business and real property transactions is preferred
