Application Special Instructions
If applicant has an Associate's Degree or higher, you must attach either the degree or college transcripts showing at least 60 hours of completion. A resume is recommended to be attached, but not required.
A DD214 with an honorable discharge status or a letter from a commanding officer that you are currently serving honorably can be attached to an application and that will be the equivalent of the AA degree or CJBAT-Law Enforcement test result requirement.
If you do not have a degree or college transcripts that show you have completed at least 60 credit hours or a DD214 with an honorable discharge status or letter from a commanding officer that you are currently serving honorably, you must schedule and pass the Criminal Justice Basic Abilities Test (CJBAT)-Law Enforcement (not Corrections) with a score of 70% or better before you can apply for this job opening. You will be required to upload proof of your passing CJBAT-Law Enforcement results within the last 2 years. If you have taken the Corrections version previously, you must take the Law Enforcement version instead. If you fail to attach any of these documents, your application will not be considered. A resume is recommended to be attached, but not required.
The CJBAT is available to be taken at any Pearson Vue testing center including Pensacola State College, George Stone Technical Center, Pearson Vue Testing Center on 9th Avenue in Pensacola, or other locations in your area by typing your location on this link https://home.pearsonvue.com/fdle/bat. Please review specific testing center websites for testing times, fees, and locations.
Also, make sure to list references in your reference section that are different from your supervisors listed in your employment information section.
A physical assessment and written exercise will be conducted with this hiring process. Failure to meet the minimum qualifications will dismiss you from the current application process, but will not eliminate you from future applications.
