Production Supervisor

Reports to Manager of Operations

Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead by example with integrity and respect the value employees add to our company. 
  • Ensure that regular safety inspections are executed and that safety issues are addressed immediately.  Attend monthly safety training, lead the team in following and supporting all company safety initiatives.
  • Have a kaizen (continuous improvement) mindset with innovation thinking.  Embrace change and challenge processes to further improve efficiencies and flow. 
  • Maintain 5S Housekeeping standards to be sure all areas are kept, clean, safe, and organized.
  • Own daily management SQDCP process and coach team to solve problems and provide solutions with energy to meet key performance indicators. 
  • Meet internal and external customer deliveries and ensure good quality at every stage of production. 
  • Assist in interviewing team members; lead their training and development, x-training, and motivate team members to achieve productivity results.
  • Actively seek cost reduction in material costs, shop supplies, and labor.
  • Ensure that all equipment and machinery are in safe working order.  Escalate maintenance issues to Director of Operations. 
  • Ensure all standard work, policies, and procedures are followed.
  • Manage vacations and attendance to ensure no bottlenecks occur and employee handbook policies are met. 
  • Administer company policy on progress discipline. 
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.


Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree or combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in area of hire.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience.
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA guidelines.
