Job Purpose:


The Property Accountant will be instrumental in maintaining the financial records for entities formed for holding real estate investments.


 


Primary Accountabilities:



  • Full cycle accounting, including cash flow management and reconciliations

  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and forecasts for management

  • Analyze and navigate complex accounting, tax, and legal matters

  • Coordinate with external property managers

  • Prepare for and assist with annual audit process and other compliance reports.

Qualifications and Experience:



  • CPA designation with a minimum of 5 years of post-designation experience in real estate and accounting, as well as public company experience


  


 Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):



  • Knowledge and experience of reporting under IFRS, and comprehension of US GAAP & taxable income calculations

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work quickly, accurately and with attention to detail

  • Adherence to all reporting deadlines (tax compliance, monthly reporting packages, and year-end audited financial statements)

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics GP (preferred) or a similar ERP





Salary Range:
$87,975- $126,475, with a midpoint of $106,085 annually, commensurate with skills, experience and qualifications.
