Job Summary
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is looking for a University of Utah Work-Study student to assist in our Clinical Trials Unit.
Responsibilities
Organizes and maintains clinical research files and records Assists is research participant recruitment by handing out recruitment materials to patients in Cardiology Clinic. Sample processing including aliquoting serum and plasma. Data entry for clinical research projects into spreadsheets and/or electronic data capturing systems (EDCs). Inventories laboratory supplies and clinical trial lab kits. Assisting research coordinators in participant study visits at University Hospital. Work Environment and Level of Frequency that may be required Often: Office environment. Often: Clinical environment Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking. Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking. Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead.
Minimum Qualifications
One year research experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); demonstrated organizational and communication skills; and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required. An understanding of research protocols and procedures preferred. This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
