Supply Chain & Retail
Supply Chain Services provides both pre-wholesale and wholesale distribution of pharmaceutical, healthcare and animal health products to pharmacies and hospital nationwide. The business supports a diverse customer base through the provision of strong service levels coupled with innovative commercial initiatives. In addition, the business provides services and supports that help independent community pharmacy to compete more effectively in an increasingly difficult environment and runs a network of Uniphar-owned pharmacies under the Life, Allcare, McCauleys and Hickeys symbol brands.
Pharma – On Demand
The On-Demand business is a specialist medical supply business that sources and distributes pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and consumable supplies to healthcare professionals in over 160 countries worldwide. We have offices in Ireland, UK, Europe, USA and New Zealand. The company’s main divisions encompass everything from International Sales through Sales to NGO’s and Charities, Clinical Trials Supply, Imported (Unlicensed Medicines), Sexual Health Supplies, and the storage and distribution of medical products and devices for third parties.

The role
Maintenance and continuous improvement of a quality management system in the Durbin Ireland to ensure compliance with the requirement of Good Distribution Practice, ISO 9001, MDR and other regulatory and principal requirements.
Responsibilities include:
o Temperature review of incoming deliveries
o Action regulatory repacking requests
o Creating and maintaining repository of relevant documentation to ensure compliance with MDR
o Inspection of EMPs received into Uniphar warehouse
o Management of EMP product quality complaints and adverse events
o Ensuring all returns received are handled correctly
o New product assessment and approval
o Bona Fides checks on both suppliers
o Support the Uniphar Group quality team where required
• Participation in other projects/duties as defined by Manager
Key Skills & Experiences
• Third level qualification in scientific discipline preferred
• Ability to problem solve in a busy, fast moving environment
• Previous experience within a GMP/GDP /Medical Device Environment
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Experience in an SAP environment preferred
• Attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to complete tasks fully in a busy environment
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently, however can work as part of a team
