Quality Control Coordinator

Essential Functions 


 



  1. Conduct Root Cause Analysis of internal and external quality issues.

  2. Prepare for, audit and report on supplier and countermeasure issues to customers.

  3. Coordinate sorts by establishing SOP's, arranging manpower, audit and review effectiveness of sorting and inspection work related to quality issues.

  4. Provide feedback, information, and data within YNA and to outside organizations.

  5. Provide regular quality assessments to YNA and suppliers.

  6. Conduct regular audits of supplier quality programs to evaluate the effectiveness of policies and procedures and identify.

  7. Establish, monitor, and report on comprehensive programs for supplier improvement activities.

  8. Prepare Model Changes by working with suppliers for upcoming component changes.

  9. Updates and posts reports including supplier, QAV, Inspection, Trouble, Overdue, Sort Activity.

  10. Directs the work activities of Associates and Technicians within the Quality Control Department and provides guidance in performance improvement and professional development.

  11. Communicates with suppliers and customers to ensure quality parts are being supplied and delivered.


Other Functions 


      1.   Interacts with co-workers, customers, outside vendors, and government officials.


     2.    Maintains a clean working environment.


     3.     Continuously seeks to improve processes and procedures.


     4.    Promotes a safe working environment for all Associates.


 


 


Qualifications

Education Associates Degree in Quality or related field.


 


Experience Two to Four years Quality Control experience in a high-volume machining or production environment.


 


Skills: Position requires specific knowledge of standard Quality Control test equipment including calipers, micrometers, gages, spectrometers, microscopes, and CMM, the ability to read and understand part drawings, understanding of FMEA and IPP systems, as well as computer, interpersonal, time-management, supervisory, and organizational skills.


 


Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to work in a climate controlled office, walk on concrete floors, lift up to 20 pounds, perform repetitive keystrokes on a continual basis, and occasionally bend, kneel, twist, and reach.


 


Travel This position requires frequent travel.  A valid driver's license is required for use of the company car.
