The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a Quality Control Coordinator to support our NuSil manufacturing facility!  The QC Coordinator operates as the lot release interchange between departments for regular organization and updates related to lot release activities. They will also serve a logistical function for outsourced testing activities.

This is a full time, 1st shift Monday – Friday (start time flexible) position in Carpinteria, CA.

What we’re looking for  

  • Education: High School Diploma required.

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in similar role / environment

  • Self-motivated, demonstrating initiative and is result oriented.

  • Strives for continual improvement, demonstrates innovation and organizational agility

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task

  • Positive, energetic, professional and passionate with a “can do” attitude

  • Experience in a lab setting preferred

  • Microsoft Office experience

  • SAP nice to have

How you will thrive and create an impact  

  • Customer order workflow generation and monitoring

  • Coordination of outsource test samples

  • Communication and organization across departments; customer-facing interaction

  • Accurate record keeping and data entry, including chain of custody (cGMP/GDP and safety standards)

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives 

  • Facilitate correspondence between multiple departments to process testing requests

  • Organizes and maintains file system and files correspondence and other records.

  • Assists with all clerical support to the department. 

  • Has substantial amount of customer contact via telephone, fax and e-mail.

  • Maintains testing services accounts database.

  • Responsible for maintaining quality within the scope of the job description.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$58,000.00 - $97,000.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
