Job Summary

Ensure the effective operation of all Food and Beverage outlets with a focus on achieving the highest level of guest satisfaction and maximum profitability for the Resort.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct the FOH service team to meet and exceed all guest needs.
  • Supervise the daily operations of the Bistro, Aqua Terrace, Garden Bar, and In-Room Dining.
  • Ensure prompt and efficient F&B service by servers, bartenders, dining assistants, and hosts.
  • Ensure all human resource policies and practices are applied consistently while adhering to all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Adjust staffing levels as business volume warrants. Make scheduling adjustments and changes as needed.
  • Maintain and review the reservations in the restaurant, including the flow of guests.
  • Be knowledgeable of current packages including Spa and Room packages.
  • Attend staff meetings, events, and other functions required by Management, including Banquet Event Order review meetings if warranted.
  • Constantly monitor staff appearance, attitude, and degree of professionalism to ensure their strict adherence to the Mirbeau Inn & Spa standards of quality service.
  • Promote good public relations and handle complaints and concerns of guests.
  • Recognize and address potential intoxicated, disruptive, or undesirable guests.
  • Properly handle and report all guest accidents and/or employees and respond properly to any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • Utilize the computer system in ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks, and completing closing tasks.
  • Organize and keep service areas clean; oversee side work checklists.
  • Participate in inventory tasks and organize FOH areas as needed.
  • Oversee and handle tip-outs, payroll, time punches, and other HR-related tasks for FOH staff.
  • Assist in implementation of structured training programs and frequent meetings with all FOH staff.

Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements

An Associates degree is required in the restaurant and food service industry. At least 3 years prior experience as a Restaurant Manager of a high volume and fine dining property. Experience in all aspects of Food & Beverage industry. The ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays is also required.
