About the opportunity:
Catherine McAuley Westmead is seeking a Secondary Japanese teacher to join their collaborative team on a Permanent Full-time basis commencing in Term 1, 2025. The teacher can have any subject as a major; this position will be heavily supported by other teachers at the school. This opportunity is open to educators who are passionate about contributing to a dynamic and supportive educational environment.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the teaching of Japanese to secondary students
Experience in teaching Japanese Continuers
Understanding how to differentiate learning to cater for students needs to maximise student learning.
Sound understanding of the learning environments, lesson plans, use of technology, teaching practices and delivery of assessment and learning feedback.
Able to motivate students to achieve and to develop a life-long love of learning.
Qualification & Experience:
Tertiary Qualification in Education (or fourth year student)
NESA Accreditation (Conditional Accreditation also accepted)
Statements of Service
Working with Children Check clearance (essential)
Exceptional communication skills
