Plans, organizes, and implements the physical education program at the state school for youth who have been adjudicated delinquent of felony offenses, assigned to a high security correctional facility, and have a wide variety of temperaments and specialized needs. Work involves teaching individual and team sports to the youth; utilizing knowledge of sports techniques and physical capabilities of the youth; promoting development of physical attributes and social skills; organizing, leading, instructing, and refereeing indoor and outdoor games; and administering assessment instruments and accurately scoring and interpreting results.
