Provides a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment through refreshing different spaces throughout the healthcare system under the direction of a supervisor. Participates in the overall building management program to provide high-quality, cost-effective service with a high emphasis on customer satisfaction and quality.
Mostly involved with facilities construction, and refresh efforts, including painting, drywall repair, flooring etc. Most work is performed as a team, alongside a finisher and or carpenter, but there may be independent work as well. Healthcare experience is highly recommended.
The average work week will consist of Monday – Friday, however qualified candidates will have to be open to scheduled nights and weekend work.
Communicates and collaborates with the supervisors, project managers and other construction trades and sub-contractors to ensure quality, timely, cost-effective construction with continuity and coordination of services. Ensures proper care, maintenance and safe use of equipment and supplies and keeps work areas orderly, clean, and safe.
Performs expert level communication and hands on construction activities. Uses various tools and measuring equipment related to the specific area of specialty to perform calculations and measurements to determine proper functions.
Inspects and tests the finished work of apprentices and provides mentoring and work direction as needed.
Documents procedures and work completed in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensures proper care, and safe use of equipment and supplies and keeps work areas orderly, clean, and safe.
Performs work in specific area of specialty, including repair and replacement, layout, demolition, and construction of all types of specialty systems and equipment which could include material estimating, ordering, and preparing sites for construction, installation, replacement and/or repair. Reviews project blueprints to identify any special needs, revisions or problems and communicate with the appropriate engineer/designer.
Ensures that all carpentry services are provided in accordance with legal specifications, building codes, organizational policy, and compliance requirements.

LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan.
