Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to lead HR in our New Zealand office in Auckland.  This role will report to the HR Director based in the UK and will have a dotted reporting line into the APAC Managing Director.  The primary focus of the role will be to provide HR advice across a range of HR generalist functions utilising your business acumen and knowledge to address HR issues and drive initiatives with senior management for the benefit of the business.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching to managers and employees on a diverse range of strategic and operational people and culture issues

• Support organisational change/design reviews of structure, processes, policies, and systems

• Lead projects and implement new procedures and process improvements in partnership with the wider team

• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of legislative standards to guide management and employees and ensure regulatory compliance in all employment aspects

• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct effective investigations

• Play a key role in creating a positive work environment that fosters employee engagement, wellbeing and productivity

• Drive and support talent development, compensation reviews, succession planning and reward / recognition programs

• Manage the recruitment and onboarding process

• Organise and maintain HR records, including reporting of HR metrics

• Oversee the payroll process to ensure timely delivery and regulatory compliance

• Responsible for the delivery of Health & Safety and Welfare programs and initiatives

• Office management, liaising with external partners like office landlord, insurance vendors, utility providers and equipment suppliers



Requirements

Ideally you will have a proven background in a similar Human Resources Business Partner role. You enjoy a challenge, have a strong ability to influence stakeholders and are passionate about building a positive work culture.

·         Experience operating as a HR generalist across all areas of the employee life cycle

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Analytical and goal oriented

·         Demonstrable experience with HR metrics

·         Strong understanding of New Zealand employment legislation

·         Proven track record of handling complex employee relations issues

·         Experience with change management and the capacity to review and improve practices

·         Strong business acumen and a commercial approach to align HR strategies with business

·         Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality

·         Highly developed interpersonal skills and able to liaise effectively across a variety of disciplines, levels and audiences

·         Broad experience and mastery of technology systems

·         Ability to work with detail but understand the bigger picture
