As the Senior Interior Designer, you will…
- Oversee the development of BIM/Revit design and documentation of drawings.
- Manage teams with an understanding and appreciation for the value of design.
- Oversee the teams' production and coordination of construction documents, including consultant coordination and the management of clients' goals, budget, and schedule. Provide training and mentorship to others.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the impact of building codes, agency, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Manage the Construction Administration process and bring a high level of value to clients.
- Oversee and coordinate project activities with clients, consultants, contractors, and staff, and provide coaching and mentorship to others.
- Participate in all phases of the design and project documentation process and manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrate consistent time management skills, ensuring accurate task completion on schedule and within budget while managing teams.
- Market new projects through established relationships and reputation, serve as a trusted advisor to multiple clients, and attend association/organization events related to the field.
- Demonstrate a detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive approach in overseeing teams' completion of work, ensuring accuracy while meeting deadlines.
- Advise project leaders on client and consultant requested changes to the scope of work and assess the impact on project budget and schedule for multiple projects.
- Review and evaluate documents for accuracy with internal teams and external consultants, perform complete quality control reviews as needed, and lead integrated project reviews.
- Delegate tasks to staff, as well as coach and support staff's professional development.
- Coordinate with project leaders and assist teams to develop and implement action plans related to project management.
- Identify and address issues affecting project budget, construction costs, schedule, and risk management, ensuring the firm's interests are protected.
- Manage the financial aspects of projects, including the development and adherence to work plans, assist the Principal in Charge (PIC) with fee development, monitor project financial status, and manage monthly project financial tasks.
- Demonstrate strong proposal writing skills, coordinating with the PIC and/or Studio Leader for projects.
- Participate in market/studio leadership meetings and staffing processes.
Senior Interior Designer Qualifications – The Must-Haves (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years interior design experience; or an Associate's degree and a minimum of 12 years of related experience
- Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Proficient with BIM/Revit
- Programming experience
- Prior experience with Civic and Healthcare projects
- Proficiency with proposal writing
- Proficiency and comfort with client interface
Project Interior Designer Qualifications – The Like-to-Haves (Not Required)
- LEED accreditation
- NCIDQ certification
Salary Range: $92,900 - $124,900 annually. Compensation and level DOE.
