Senior Product Designer  

As a boutique fintech company we pride ourselves on providing high quality financial risk products to our clients.  We are now seeking a talented and experienced Senior Product Designer who is responsible for research, conceptualization and design of the user experience of our enterprise SaaS financial data platform.  The role encompasses far more than creating and handing over Figma assets, it is taking ownership of a product UI and progressing it in an iterative manner over the long term.

Being an essential part of our design team, you will take responsibility for interface design for developments to our client portal. You’ll make ongoing, incremental changes to our design system to ensure we provide our users with intuitive navigation, simple workflows and clear, comprehensible dashboards.

What Responsibilities would you have?

• Identify user research requirements, plan and execute user research leveraging the appropriate techniques and tools for the project
• Perform quantitative usage analysis to inform product design decisions
• Maintain usage analytics with other designers and product managers
• Maintain and develop our user persona library
• Solution ideation in collaboration with other designers and product managers
• Creation of wireframes, prototypes and final designs of high-quality UI components consistent with our design system
• Development and maintenance of our design system and design library
• Take part in agile team activities to foster strong communication and fast turnaround of development work
• Support go-to-market activities, for example by providing design assets to the Marketing Team
  
  

What background should you bring?

We're looking for a person with an appetite for learning, and the following core skillset:

• 4-6 yrs product design experience
• High level of competency in Figma and Adobe design tools
• Ability to plan and execute usability research using a variety of research methods and techniques
• Management of usability research content (we use Miro and Confluence)
• Creation of wireframes, prototypes and final designs (we use Figma)
• Experience in implementing and maintaining a UI style guide and pattern library
• Creative, structured approach to problem solving
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in group facilitation for research and validation or design exercises
• Experience producing designs that conform to WCAG standards, and working with UI Engineers to deliver to those standards
• Experience working on Financial or statistical data products preferred, but not essential

You will collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers in agile teams to iterate on product designs as concept sketches, wireframes, prototypes and final UI designs, participating in solution critiques through the process. You’ll need to be patient and persistent, recognizing that design projects may not always advance to development. Ideally, you value effective communication and have the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You can work independently but also know when to ask for help. You are easy to collaborate with, open to change with a natural curiosity and thrive on solving major complexities with great attention to detail. Strong team players fit in well with our culture!

Work Location Assignment:

Flexible/Hybrid - two days in the office in Dublin
