Responsibilities: The Construction Project Manager Senior will play a crucial role in overseeing the development and construction of high-end hotel projects, starting with a flagship project in South Beach, Miami. Requirements:
7 to 10 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager
Specialization in architecture and engineering, with a focus on project management and leadership (PMI certification is a plus)
Experience in hospitality and shopping center projects, demonstrating a higher complexity than residential construction.
Proven ability to manage both construction and pre-construction phases, including approvals and technical project aspects with city authorities.
Ownership mentality, acting as a representative of the owner rather than solely as a representative of the construction company.
Budget control, schedule management, and strategic planning for the construction firm
Ability to ensure the final quality and consistency of the project.
Project Details:
The initial project involves the renovation of a high-end hotel in South Beach, Miami:
Approximately 50 rooms
Renovation project, including adherence to historical preservation guidelines.
Focus on internal renovation, including pools, rooftop areas, etc.
Currently in the final stages of obtaining permits, with the hiring of the general manager to follow.
Position commencement date: February 1st
Construction phase expected to span 2 years.
Candidate Profile:
Fluent in Portuguese (highly desirable)
Cultural understanding and affinity for a Latino environment
Effective communication skills, especially while interacting with team members in Brazil.
Previous experience in managing hotel construction projects is a significant advantage.
