This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a new platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. The Clinical Digital Assistant team is at the forefront of revolutionizing healthcare through advanced conversational AI and clinical automation solutions. Our mission is to streamline and enhance healthcare processes, improve patient outcomes, and enable medical professionals to focus on what matters most – patient care.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principle Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of our conversational AI and clinical automation platforms.  In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and healthcare experts to design, develop, and deploy innovative software solutions that facilitate seamless communication between patients, medical professionals, and healthcare systems.  Join our team of experienced full stack, distributed computing and data/ml platform engineers in shaping the future of healthcare technology.

 

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex software systems
• Act in engineering capacity to build and productionize complex AI and ML infused systems
• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize high-quality code to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our software products.
• Lead architectural discussions and provide technical guidance to ensure the adoption of best practices and alignment with the overall technology roadmap.
• Work closely with product managers to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver features in a timely manner.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in software and data engineering, conversational AI, clinical automation, and healthcare IT.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-stack software development experience
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with javascript UI development with frameworks like React/Preact 
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with traditional databases (Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience preferred)
• Experience in Java, Python, C++, C#, or similar OO languages
• Experience with knowledge graph technologies (RDF, SPARQL) a strong plus 
• Experience driving feature design reviews, documentation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
