CONMED is a publicly-traded, global medical device manufacturer. We are  seeking a remote staff accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial accounting data.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile transactions/ledger activity and perform assigned duties related to month end, quarter end and annual close.
  • Perform assigned duties related to the preparation and compilation of the annual budget.
  • Determine and assess the financial performance of departments and/or operating units by comparing and analyzing performance versus plan.
  • Respond, assist and compile data as necessary in response to inquiries from internal and external auditors.
  • Monitor and ensure cost-effective internal accounting controls are in place and operating effectively.
  • Assess the financial and operational effectiveness of current methods and policies and formulate recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • 3 years of accounting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Possess ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks and projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A team player with the ability to communicate effectively and develop solid working relationships.
  • Prior Oracle and SQL experience
  • Proficient with Word and PowerPoint.

Disclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is $61,610- to $95,950. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level. The salary range is CONMED’s good faith belief at the time of this posting.
