Job Status: Full Time  

Location: Remote – US Based (East Coast Preferred)  

Job Scope:  

  • Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the company’s overall financial operations.
  • This hands-on role requires effective, timely communication and the ability to work in a faced-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Maintaining the general ledger  assist with month-end close including journal entry preparationaccruals, prepaids, fixed assets and variance analysis. 
  • Responsible for business filings, including sales & use tax, compliance and registrations. 
  • Assist with audit fieldwork for both operationalregulatory and financial audits.
  • Reconciling general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
  • Preparation of weekly cash flow statement. 
  • Aid in AP related tasks during peak times and on an as needed basis.
  • Support payroll processing and reconciliations. 
  • Research and resolve discrepancies and ensure appropriate back up is maintained.
  • Assist with other departmental projects and tasks as needed. 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. 
  • Positive attitude with strong work ethic 
  • 5+ years of related responsibility experience; startup/fast-growth and/or multi-subsidiary experience preferred. 
  • Experience with NetSuite, payroll, sales and spend management systems strongly preferred. 
  • Knowledge of sales and use tax is preferred.
  • Ability to utilize intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIF/SUMIFS. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Demonstration of strong organizational skills and attention to detail is critical for this role. 
  • Motivated and driven self-starter who can roll up their sleeves and escalate accordingly.
