We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.


Rogers Group is currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing Administrator to join our team. This position is NOT REMOTE and will be based in our corporate office located in Nashville, TN. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Strategic Sourcing. The successful candidate will exhibit professionalism and have excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, as well as an ability to work independently. 


Job Responsibilities: 



  • Maintain organized records of supplier contracts, purchase orders, and related documentation.

  • Input and maintain procurement data in relevant systems or databases.

  • Assist in tracking and updating supplier information and performance metrics.

  • Help process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.

  • Act as a point of contact for supplier inquiries and requests for information.

  • Facilitate communication between the sourcing team and suppliers to ensure timely responses.

  • Conduct preliminary research on suppliers and market trends to support sourcing decisions.

  • Gather and compile data for reports and presentations.

  • Assist in preparing reports related to procurement activities, savings initiatives, and supplier performance.

  • Help analyze procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Support the development and implementation of process improvements within the sourcing function.

  • Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to enhance workflow.

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

  • Assist in maintaining accurate documentation for audits and compliance reviews.

  • Must be willing to travel. 


Job Qualifications: 



  • Technical Proficiency: Highly tech-savvy with strong skills in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Suite, including pivot tables, slicers, and VLOOKUP functions.

  • Education & Experience:

    • Associate Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management, or

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing or related role.


  • Experience with Oracle is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.

  • Capable of working effectively both within a team and independently.

  • Strong detail-oriented mindset with a keen focus on accuracy.

  • Knowledge of mining, construction equipment, and fixed plant operations is preferred.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the states and attend conferences.

  • Flexible Scheduling: Ability to work flexible hours, with start times between 6:30 AM and 7:30 AM for an 8-hour workday.
