Surgical Skills Lab Technician

  • Maintains an up-to-date inventory of equipment and supplies and coordinates deliveries/returns for education events.
  • Cleans or assists in the cleaning of technical equipment through established protocols and/or instrumentation Instructions For Use.
  • Orders and receives specimens, supplies, and equipment for all events.
  • Maintains a presence in specified events, assisting faculty and learners with equipment, supply, and basic A/V needs.
  • Communicates Surgical Skills Lab and specimen prover policies to faculty and learners.
  • Prepares cadaver specimens for teaching purposes.
  • Responsible for clean-up after events according to established procedures. Coordinates additional/special request cleaning of spaces with the housekeeping manager.
  • Some administrative duties as assigned
  • Work hours vary to include some early morning, evening, and Saturday events.

Minimum Education:

High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required.

Required Experience:

Years of relevant experience required: 4 years of relevant experience.

Additional Information:

The successful candidate will assist the Associate director in day to day responsibilities in the Surgical Skills Lab, a world class surgical education and research space.
